François Menou has been passionate about light since his childhood. Fascinated by its atmospheres and its metamorphoses, very early on he tried to work with it, to tame it. Since then, he regularly lights the shows of directors / choreographers such as Macha Makeïeff, Marc Paquien, Juliette Deschamps, Benjamin Lazar, Mélanie Leray, Louis Arène, Thierry Malandain, Peter Stein ... work at the Opéra National de Bordeaux, the Opéra National de Montpellier, the Opéra de Lyon, the Opéra Royal de Versailles, the Théâtre National de Chaillot, the Comédie Française, the Lincoln Center in New York, at the Perm Opera House, Singapore's Marina Bay Sands ...

Passionate about everything related to creation, from the most classic to the most contemporary universes, Theater, Dance, Opera, Painting, Photography. He has been deeply influenced by the work of Robert Wilson, Claude Régy, Patrice Chéreau, Joël Pommerat, Pina Bausch, Jiri Kylian, Pierre Soulages, Olafur Eliasson, James Turell, Christian Boltanski ...
